Après être arrivées à la station de métro Lodi TIBB, il a fallu marcher une dizaine de minutes avant de rejoindre la fondation. Vous repèrerez directement la célèbre tour doré. Surnommée « la Maison hantée », cette tour de quatre étage recouverte de feuilles d’or (4kg en tout!), accueille les œuvres de Robert Gober et Louise Bourgeois. Adossée à la tour, le « podium » est lui recouvert d’une mousse d’aluminium et présente des expositions temporaires tout comme la galerie Nord, la galerie Sud, la grande salle et le « réservoir ».

Imagined by the OMA agency, the Fondazione Prada is a cultural space devoted to the contemporary art. Located away from the heart of the city, the former restored distillery is organized as a campus in the south industry zone of Milano.
Once you arrived at the Lodi TIBB subway station, you have to walk around 10 minutes to be in front of the gate. When you arrived you will immediately note the golded tour. In this so called « haunted house », recovered by only 4kg of gold leaf, you will discover the work of Louise Bourgeois and Robert Gober. The other buildings host different temporary exhibitions.
La « boîte noire », cinéma dédié aux arts numériques situé au centre du site, est recouverte de longs miroirs reflétant les bâtiments qui l’entourent. Au sous-sol, vous découvrirez l’installation Processo Grottesco réalisée par Thomas Demand. L’artiste a recréé à l’aide de 30 tonnes de carton, l’intérieur d’une grotte islandaise.

The « Black Box », a cinema devoted to numeric arts in the middle of the Fondazione, is covered by mirrors reflecting the other buildings. In the basement you will discover the Processo Grottesco, an installation realised by Thomas Demand, which represent an Icelandic cave.
« La Tour » est aujourd’hui encore en construction mais accueillera dans ses dix étages, les œuvres permanentes de la collection de la fondation.

Et après la visite, la cafétéria ! Dessinée par le cinéaste Oscar Wes Anderson, l’intérieur a été inspiré par les bars italiens traditionnels des années 50.
L’endroit est absolument génial ; à voir lors de votre prochain passage à Milan !

This place is amazing!! You have to go there during your next trip to Milano, we just loved it.
